Baptism by Water and the Spirit
WHAT BAPTISM MEANS TO THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The United Methodist Church recognizes the two sacraments in which Christ himself participated: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is a symbol of new life and forgiveness of sins. Persons of any age can be baptized once, and the method can be sprinkling, immersion or pouring. Through the waters of baptism, we are cleansed of our sin and born into a new way of living.

Baptism at UPUMC
We are excited about your interest in joining the UMC and being baptized at University Park United Methodist Church. We baptize both infants and adults through sprinkling of water. You can schedule a baptism during worship services or in a private service.
