Welcome

Wesley Chapel

The Wesley Chapel at University Park United Methodist Church is a welcoming and versatile space designed to support a wide range of gatherings. Whether hosting prayer services, Sunday school classes, memorial or funeral services, or small group events, the chapel offers a peaceful and flexible environment. The space can accommodate between 80 to 100 people with individual seating or can be arranged with tables to suit your gathering’s needs.

Surrounding the chapel is a stunning collection of decorative stained glass that fills the room with natural light and creates a serene, uplifting atmosphere. Commissioned in 2025, the stained glass was thoughtfully designed to establish a sacred and inviting space. Over the course of many months, artist Guy Kemper worked in collaboration with the UPUMC interior design team to bring their vision to life. The designs reflect themes of water, light, and hope, while incorporating meaningful Christian symbols. The panels converge in a striking focal point, forming imagery that evokes the cross and the thorns of the resurrection—offering both beauty and theological depth. Get a glimpse of the installation through the video below.

The Wesley Chapel is also equipped with audio/visual capabilities, making it well-suited for both worship and presentations. Additionally, it is directly connected to Fellowship Hall, a larger gathering space that can accommodate worship services, conferences, meetings, and more, allowing for seamless transitions between intimate and larger events.

Blending beauty, symbolism, and functionality, the Wesley Chapel provides a sacred space where community, reflection, and worship come together.
