Leadership at UPUMC is about more than just responsibilities. It is about disciples who are growing in grace and serving together for the sake of God's mission. Every leadership team helps our church live into our vision by embodying the love of Jesus for the good of our communities.

CHURCH COUNCIL CHAIR LEADERSHIP TRACK: The Church Council Leadership Track guides the Church Council in envisioning, planning, implementing, and evaluating the mission and ministry of UPUMC. Working in partnership with clergy, staff, and lay leaders, the Council Chair helps the church listen for God’s direction, remain faithful to its vision, and translate its priorities into coordinated action

FINANCE LEADER TRACK: The Finance Leadership Track helps UPUMC align its financial resources with the church’s vision and ministry priorities. Working closely with the Finance Director, pastors, staff, and Church Council, Finance leaders promote responsible planning, transparent reporting, appropriate financial controls, and faithful stewardship.

LAY LEADER TRACK : The Lay Leader Leadership Track represents and strengthens the ministry of the laity at UPUMC. Working closely with the pastors and Church Council, Lay Leaders listen to the congregation, help identify its spiritual needs and aspirations, and encourage laity to live out their discipleship within the church, their homes, workplaces, and communities.

PPRC LEADERSHIP TRACK: The Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (PPRC) cultivates healthy, trusting relationships among the congregation, clergy, and staff. The committee supports and encourages clergy and staff, provides honest and constructive accountability, and helps ensure that UPUMC’s personnel practices serve the church’s mission.

TRUSTEES LEADERSHIP TRACK: The Trustees Leadership Track provides strategic oversight of UPUMC’s buildings, grounds, parsonage, equipment, insurance, and other physical assets. Trustees work with church staff to ensure that these resources are safe, accessible, financially sustainable, and prepared to support the church’s mission.
