About Worship:

University Park United Methodist Church offers a traditional service where you'll experience Bible-centered worship that both challenges and inspires through scripture, sermon and music. 

About Sunday School:

University Park United Methodist Church offers a variety of Sunday school classes for people of all ages. From birth through adulthood, our Sunday school classes seek to bring faith to life through Biblical study, fellowship, service to others, and care and support for each other. Whether a child or student, married or single, with or without children at home, church member or guest, we provide support and a firm foundation for a Christian lifestyle.

All Sunday School classes meet  from 9:45-10:45 a.m., between our two worship services. Most children's classes meet on the first floor, and most adult classes are on the second floor. Guests are always welcome. If you'd like to speak with someone about visiting a class or would like a member to host you, please call us at 214-368-1435.

Youth Newsletter

Sunday School, 9:45 a.m.

Jr High 6-8 grade (unless enrolled in Confirmation)

Our current series is focused on understanding Christ-centered community.                

Previous studies included:

  • "Uncommon": Sharing Your Faith & Serving Other
  • Collaborate by SparkHouse: A Study of the New Testament
  • The Bible a fact-checking look at the History Channel Series

Sr. High (grades 9-12)

Sr High students are also focused on Christ-centered community, aiming to start off the fall building closer community.  Recent studies included: 

  •  "Can I Ask That?" Series by Fuller Youth Institute
  • Collaborate by SparkHouse: A Study of the New Testament


UP Youth, Sundays 4pm-6pm

Starting September 10th, we will start LinkedUP.                                                                                  LinkedUP is a way to connect with others in the church, and also build deeper connections with God, other youth, and adults. Come to some, or all, parts of the gathering!

4:00pm Choose Aldersgate (youth choir) or Open gym (in the Activities Center)

4:45pm Open Gym for All / Dinner Served

Note: We will eat dinner around tables alongside kids, other youth, and adults.

 5:15pm Youth Time Together

In our world marked with busy-ness and expectations, Sunday nights are designed to slow us down and connect more deeply. We will offer different activities, conversations, and special guests to lead us. Every week, youth will be given time to share about their week. 


UP YOUTH SMALL GROUPS, coming this Fall

This opportunity is designed to connect in small settings, often outside the church walls. We will meet at Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and in homes.Contact Beth Johnson for details, 



SPRING BREAK MISSION TRIP- Family Mission Trip with Proyecto Abrigo in Juarez, MX

SUMMER YOUTH MISSION TRIP- June 23rd -June 30th, Details TBA 

PROJECT TRANSFORMATION - Throughout the year, we will offer ways to serve together

MISSION IS NOT A TRIP - While we value opportunities to get away on a mission, God grants us opportunities to live missional lives everyday. We want to encourage youth to continually grow in awareness of ways to serve among friends, families, schools, and other communities.
