Have you ever felt overwhelmed by what other people expect you to do, or who they expect you to be? Come and explore the tension between your own desires and those of others and how to listen for God in the midst of it all.

Restless Hearts. Passion and Vocation
Have you found your passion? Come and explore what drives you and how we are called to apply that to our daily living.


Sept. 28
Are you a steward? The Biblical Steward
You’ve heard the phrase, “Be a steward” when it comes to environmentalism, church fund raising, and more, but what does it really mean to be a steward and where does it come from? Come and explore our calling to be stewards.


Oct. 5
Are you a steward? Joining the Family Business
Have you ever thought, “Man, I wish I had my own business!” or perhaps even had ideas about starting your own business? As a Christian, what does it mean to be part of God’s business on earth? Come and explore the purpose of stewardship and discover what’s the deal with becoming part of the family business.

Are you a steward? Why Money Matters
Do you have debt from college, from a new house, from a new car, from last summer’s vacation? Money is a big subject, but what about money really matters? Come and explore the ins and outs of dealing with money and how we as Christians are called to handle our dollars and cents.

Are you a steward? Living as a Steward
How do you balance your life? Do you find yourself struggling to keep your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs in check? Come and explore your life priorities and how to prioritize the important stuff.

Generation To Generation Commitment Sunday
We’ll be joining the all-church celebration at the Meyerson Symphony Center. More to come, but traditional Sunday school will not be held on this date.

Big Question Series. Question 1: What makes life successful?
As young adults, we hear the word “success” a lot and feel pressure to be successful, but what really IS success and how does it play into our Christian identity?


Nov. 9
Big Question Series. Question 2: How do I deal with stress and drama?
Between work, relationships, finances and family, our lives are busy and filled with stress. So as Christians, how do we deal?


Nov. 16
Big Question Series. Question 3: How can I forgive, and why should I?
We’ve experienced broken hearts, broken relationships and broken families, but how do we ask for forgiveness or forgive someone who really hurt us?

 

Nov. 23
Big Question Series. Question 4: What are my gifts and what should I do with them?  Come and explore your spiritual gifts as we take a short quiz, discuss our results, and think about why our gifts matter anyway.

Special Opportunities

Dec. 4, 7 p.m.: Holiday potluck at Blair's house. Before all the parties of the season get going, show off your cooking or food-buying skills by bringing a dish to share. Contact Blair for directions.

Dec. 20, 8:30 a.m.-noon: Volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank. We'll meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. before heading over. What a fantastic opportunity to help a great organization and give back during the hectic holiday season.

Dec. 28, 6 p.m.: Dinner and a movie.  Back from college and looking to reconnect with old friends and make new ones?  We'll meet at the church at 6 p.m. 

Jan. 4, 5-7 p.m.: It's a sandwich-making pizza party in the church kitchen!  We're making sandwiches for the SoupMobile, an organization that helps to feed the homeless throughout Dallas.  Come and help!
