Big Stuff in July!
Tonight, July 1: We’re baking together tonight! Come learn how to make pie. Carrie Campbell is hosting and teaching us her family’s recipe and we’ll watch a fun summer movie together. 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Contact Carrie for directions to her apartment: carrie@kirklandproductions.com. We’ll be cooking together each week this summer so even if you can’t come this week, contact me for upcoming plans.
Friday, July 9: Summer Fellowship Night! Karaoke, swimming and dessert exchange! This is becoming a fun tradition! Check out the facebook invitation. Sunday, July 11: Serving breakfast at the Bridge! We need seven people to come. The Bridge serves 500-700 homeless people three meals a day. Click Here to Sign up to Serve!
Friday, July 16: From Melissa Fleetwood: I've got a suggestion to add even MORE fun to your already awesome summer. SHAKESPEARE!!! Nothing beats the summer heat like iambic pentameter. Shakespeare Dallas is putting on A Comedy of Errors as one of their summer plays at Samuell-Grand Amphitheater. I've been to a few of their performances over the years and have enjoyed them all! Cost is a suggested donation of $10. So, let me know if you'd like to see some Shakespeare in the Park! Please let me know sooner rather than later so I can get a group reservation (if we have enough people.) Contact Melissa: melissa.cuellar@gmail.com.
Sunday, July 18: Sunday Lunch Study! Join us for lunch ($3) after church in room 229.
Thursday, July 22: Cookies! We need a lot of cookies for a Project Transformation dinner we’re helping to sponsor. Enough cookies for 150 people! What you can do to help: drop off cookies at the church on Wednesday or Thursday or come and take them on Thursday at 5:45 and help to serve dinner.
