Young Adult Sunday School What should I expect at Sunday school?Expect great people and great conversation. Our class begins at 9:45 a.m. and lasts one hour. For the first 10 minutes, we'll mingle and meet one another. The session usually begins with announcements, followed by a brief introduction to the lesson, viewing of a short DVD, and discussion in breakout groups. No need to prepare anything beforehand, and no pressure to participate. We love to talk and explore our faith together, and our relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to do so. Check the fall Sunday school schedule for more information about current and future class studies. When does it get started? We'll gather at 9:45 a.m., talk and drink our coffee. Our class session begins at 10. If you're running late, no worries! We'll welcome you when you get here. Where do I go? Our classroom is located on the second floor, room 265. Check out a map of the church for specifics, or you can always ask for directions from one of the greeters when you come into the church. Why should I come? St. Augustine said, "For you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you." In our fast-paced world filled with to-do lists and deadlines, we sometimes put God and our relationship with God on the back burner. Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m., we take time to rest our restless hearts in God through study, discussion and fellowship with one another. Come join us. We'd love to meet you! |
Sunday School Weekly Events Sunday School: Sept. 14 is the first day of our new Sunday school class. Check out the schedule of topics and join us in room 265. Sunday Lunches: Check out the schedule Every Wednesday: UPLift Special Opportunities Dec. 20, 8:30 a.m.-noon: Volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank. We'll meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. before heading over. What a fantastic opportunity to help a great organization and give back during the hectic holiday season. Dec. 28, 6 p.m.: Dinner and a movie. Back from college and looking to reconnect with old friends and make new ones? We'll meet at the church at 6 p.m. Jan. 4, 5-7 p.m.: It's a sandwich-making pizza party in the church kitchen! We're making sandwiches for the SoupMobile, an organization that helps to feed the homeless throughout Dallas. Come and help! Contact
