WELCOME TO UPUMC WEEKDAY SCHOOL! The purpose of the University Park United Methodist Church Weekday School is to serve families of the church and community by providing a program for infants through kindergarten age children that is developmentally appropriate, intellectually stimulating, and spiritually nurturing in a safe, supervised environment, planned and directed by caring adults who are chosen for their skills with children and their commitment to Christian education.
Infants and toddlers are enrolled one or two days a week, either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Children who are 2˝ are enrolled for a two day a week program, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Three-year-old children have a choice of a 2 day or 3 day program, Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00p.m. Four-year-olds have a choice of a 3 day or a 5 day program from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The kindergarten classes meet 5 days a week. With a focus on literacy, math and science, the kindergarten class provides children with necessary skills needed to enter first grade. Hours for this class are 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. on Monday and 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Extended Classes Extended day classes, known as Lunch Bunch, are available from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday for an additional fee. A four-week summer program, Summer Fun, includes a planned curriculum, and is offered for an additional fee. UPUMC offers a variety of enrichment classes in the Fall, Spring and Summer. Schedules are available in the school office or online. Admissions The school admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies or scholarships and loan programs. The Weekday School is an extension of the Children's Christian education programs of University Park United Methodist Church. Tuition and fees paid to the Weekday School support the program. Church members have priority for admission, followed by UPUMC staff, siblings of current and former students, then new students from the community.
