Love Globally

"The one thing on which we can all agree, all faiths and ideologies, is that God is with the vulnerable and poor. God is in the slums, in the cardboard box where the poor play house. God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both their lives. God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war. God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them".
Bono,
54th Annual National Prayer Breakfast, February 2, 2006

Through partnerships with other churches both here and abroad, we can participate in an ever-expanding faith community that permeates the walls of the church.

"In Mission Together" Partnership with Bratislava UMC in Slovakia

UPUMC has been in a partnership with Bratislava UMC since 2000. As part of the partnership, UPUMC provides financial support for their church. Bratislava UMC is a church that is strong in spirit and has survived despite 40 years of communist rule. In this partnership, our congregations work to encourage and build up each other so that we may continue to grow our hearts in the mission of Christ.

“What continues to give us vitality in the church is the centrifugal force that spins us out into the world with the fruit of the Spirit.”
