Most simply, prayer is conversation with God. Listening and speaking, in words or in silence, in solitude or in community, prayer invites us to connect with the love and energy of God, offers comfort and strength in our struggles, and empowers us to live and serve in every aspect of our lives. At UPUMC, we believe prayer matters, and we encourage you to pray in the solitude of your own home, in the fullness of your workplace or school, and in the community of others when we come together for worship.
