United Methodists are very intentionally connectional people. We want to help connect people’s passions with the needs of others. At University Park UMC, we are committed to this, whether it’s connecting people with needs in the neighborhood, or places around the world. We stand by to help you get better acquainted, acclimated - connected - to the calling God has within your life. Your presence is a gift to our church family. My prayer is that our church family will be a gift to you.

Peace and Blessings,
Dr. Keith Boone
Senior Pastor

About Worship:

University Park United Methodist Church offers a traditional service where you'll experience Bible-centered worship that both challenges and inspires through scripture, sermon and music.

About Sunday School:

University Park United Methodist Church offers a variety of Sunday school classes for people of all ages. From birth through adulthood, our Sunday school classes seek to bring faith to life through Biblical study, fellowship, service to others, and care and support for each other. Whether a child or student, married or single, with or without children at home, church member or guest, we provide support and a firm foundation for a Christian lifestyle.

All Sunday School classes meet  from 9:45-10:45 a.m., between our two worship services. Most children's classes meet on the first floor, and most adult classes are on the second floor. Guests are always welcome. If you'd like to speak with someone about visiting a class or would like a member to host you, please call us at 214-368-1435.

Welcome to the United Methodist Women of UPUMC

The women of University Park United Methodist Church unite with nearly two million throughout the world to:

  • Know God and experience freedom as whole persons, through Jesus Christ
  • Develop a creative, supportive fellowship
  • Expand mission through participation in the global ministries of the church

Elected and appointed leaders meet monthly to discuss, disseminate information, plan programming, gather information, make decisions and affirm each other in our UMW roles.

Members pledge to our operating budget, and fundraising activities also generate money to support our missions. The budget is presented to the membership for approval. Two other events are held annually: a Service of Prayer & Self-Denial in the spring and the World Thank Offering in the fall with all proceeds going to Global Ministries.

As United Methodist Women, we assume many roles but we share a common worldwide commitment to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ as we seek to bring our faith to life in our service to others.

umw CIRCLEs - May Meetings

Circles meet monthly and study leaders present topics on Bible study, spiritual growth and mission. Circles are assigned to regularly contact home-bound members as well as to support a local mission concern in our case, Bethlehem Center, C.C. Young Home, Methodist Medical Center and Wesley-Rankin Community Center. Each circle decides what this involvement will entail.

Deborah Circle (1)
A traditional circle with morning monthly meetings and guest speakers

Mary Martha Circle (2)
This circle takes on a different volunteer project each month; no regularly scheduled meetings.

Wesley Women (3)
This circle meets in the evening in members homes and invites speakers.

Lydia Circle (4)
A Bible study oriented circle for working women with evening monthly meetings.
