Parables of Jesus: A Bible Study with Gayle Landis

Jesus taught with stories - and many of them describe the life-filled future God imagines for each of us. Join us for four Wednesday evenings in June to delve into the parables of the Kingdom of God. A proper Christian life involves care not only for the soul, but also for the body so that we may honor our Lord. This gentle yoga class includes stretching and toning with deep breathing, and relaxation techniques to release stress. No experience required. First class is complimentary. All levels are welcome. Brown Bag Book Club

The Brown Bag Book Club of UPUMC has been an active of UPUMC since its inception in 2002. We meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 to discuss various books. Bring your lunch if you like. We all read a couple of chapters a week and have a lively discussion. We usually have 10-15 participants a week. All are welcome to attend and invite non-members as well. We keep the costs of books under $15.00. Some of our authors have been: Adam Hamilton, Eugene Peterson, James Moore, Anne Lamott, Barbara Brown Taylor, Henri Nouwen, & Dallas Willard.
